5 Movements of Joy

I have been experimenting with these movements for a while, easy, bouncy material meant to stimulate our fascia and cardiovascular system without complications or strain. They started as 5 but are slowly becoming too many to count, so expect more of those in the future. So curious to know about your experience with them, please […]

Meridian Yin yoga & Qi Gong Class

In this class we really focus on moving Chi/Qi through our body. We start by feeling the Qi, moving it with a couple of Qi Gong exercises, and then “stretching” or stimulating the sinew meridians with Yin yoga.

Dr. Motoyama’s Chi Exercises

We don’t need a lot of strenuous exercise to get the chi moving; gentle exercise focusing in the joints can do wonders to unblock and harmonise our energy flow. Dr. Motoyama has a wonderful sequence designed just for that, and we use some of his exercises here to move the chi and get rid of […]

No timer set!

in our opinion “stress” is not a bad thing, we need it in our daily life! To much of anything is never good, and we all know this, so to much stress is bad, however whatever form of yoga we practice we always want to stress the body in a Yang or Yin way. In […]

Biotensegrity: your muscles are not levers

The old idea of a skeleton made of bones from which all other structures hang is outdated. Scientific research on fascia is showing that the biotensegrity model is much more accurate way to look at the body and at movement, and it opens a universe of possibilities.

Mayofascial release and Yin yoga

In this class we will work on the muscles/fascia with the help of a tennis ball and maybe a foam-roller. We will target certain areas first by rolling them before we stretch! So you need at least a tennis ball, and if you have a foam-roller/block/belt. Have fun!

Stress has become a big villain nowadays, but the truth is that some amount of stress is fundamental for a healthy life. We explore these ideas a lot in our classes, workshops, trainings and blogs. This is a great example of how the right amount and quality of stress may leave you energetic, calm and […]

Introduction to Mobility Training

In most of our yoga classes we focus on moving, strengthening certain muscles and adjusting the fascia of the body. In our mobility sessions we focus a little bit more on moving and trying to create as much movement/mobility as we can in one part of the body. It is important to keep in mind […]

Ride the Breath

This is a continuous flow kind of class, where the challenge lies not so much on the postures, but on the coordination with the breath. Even when challenged – of course we’ll do some balance and some warrior stuff – just keep riding the wind of your breath. We finish with a few delicious yin […]

Habit Breaker, Habit Builder

Habits are hugely influencing us all the time, many times in ways we are completely unaware of. Yogis call these habits samskaras and becoming aware of them so we can influence them when needed lies at the heart of yoga practice.  This class has two parts: first we focus on a habit we wish to get […]

So is the natural sound of the inhalation and Ham/Hum the natural sound of the exhale. Basically meaning “That I Am”. The total duration of this practice is 15 minutes, in which we spend the longer part on the lower abdominal area, then moving up to the third eye, and into a short rebound. If […]

The Movement of Water

After using the earth element for grounding and strengthening, we now use water to generate fluidity and control. Movements are more flowing and light, with a strong core and some balance as focus points. As you probably know, you can’t practice balance without losing it sometimes, and you will see me do so fabulously. We […]
